Today I was unpacking  the items returned from the Kent State Fashion Museum exhibit (May 8, 2014- February 15, 2015) . I am honored to have been one of the artists, along with other artists that I personally admire; Elizabeth Anyaa, Marjolaine Arsenault, Kim Hahn and Ann Collier, Horst and Gina Horst, Jean Gauger, Dena Gershon, Leslie Samson, Jessica de Haas, Sharon Kilfoyle, Marilou Moschetti, Barbara Poole and  Sherry Schofield. Below is a picture of  a top I made for the exhibit. I am onto a similar project, this time in color and have been dyeing fabrics all day with colored fingertips to prove it!

I have been told I should make scarves over and over. For some reason I just did not get inspired to make too many. Finally I took a clue from amazing Claudia Burkhart and made a not so long and not so rectangular design. It was fun to make and I think I will try this again.

Nuno felt skirt using recycled fabrics and heirloom lace samples. I wanted this  to have a vintage look and  feel. The inspiration was found in the flowered design fabric you can see in the picture below.

Trying something new to me.  It was such  hard work to finish this piece! The shape was achieved by wool layout and fiber direction. The cut out design was fun..can think of many things to do with this  technique! Now my son is questioning the usability of a felted bowl..
